I've not had anyone even say any of the options to me. I suppose, if given the choice, I'd say, "Happy Hanukkah" if they were Jewish or "Happy Holidays" if they weren't.

But seriously, I guess it's more of a local thing than I thought. The one local Philly news station has shit like this all the time. Like how you shouldn't say "Christmas tree" and should say "holiday tree" instead because it's offensive.

They're not the best news station I'm beginning to see....

Not saying one or the other is right. Just wanted to see what everyone though.

I say Merry Christmas usually unless I know somebody celebrates differently. I work at Chapters and nobody has complained or told me to say anything different yet. I dunno, maybe I'm just too charming for people to get mad at me over it (:

So far at work I've only said Merry Christmas to customers who wished me a Merry Christmas. I don't want to say Happy Holidays when Christmas and other religious dates aren't always holidays for everyone. A lot of people work over the Christmas period. Holidays are usually something taken in the summer, "holidays" usually refers to the school summer holidays in Britain too.
