With me I have kind of a lot but they're all good instruments. A few years ago I had a bunch of guitars (more then now). Many were lower end so I sold them all and bought fewer high quality guitars. I don't miss any of them.
Having 30 low end junkers isn't worth it to me. Having 30 nice guitars with a mix of vintage Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Guild and Martin (by vintage I mean mainly 50s and 60s) and some newer boutique/custom shop/high end instruments is the best way to go. Ditto amplifiers and effects. |

probably 20 or so with five being vintage classicals, so 15 electric. all but three or four get good use. none are shitty, the cheapest one would be my 1982 Peavey or my MIM strat. seven gibsons, two prestige ibanezs
i need three or four more then it will be buy a guitar, sell a guitar and keep it. i would like one more SG (i have two Gibson SG's one being 11/400) i have one in standard, one in drop C#, and i would like one for open G i want another Gibson V (have an early 00's gothic V) i want to have one down tuned and one in standard. i also want two more presteiges one being a 2520 or alike and the other just a 1500 or something. i don't like messing with floyds because i am anal about setup. i have one in std. one in Drop D. i would like one for D std. and maybe C std, or B. really depends. i have a bunch of others as well but i rotate through them as i feel inspired. very few fall in the wayside. i have reasons for most of them, the couple i don't one was my grandfather's one was my cousins. i just like having what i want in my hand when i want it there, and really don't like swapping to a guitar's tuning so i don't have to mess around before i play. also i like different pickups for different uses.
