DIY amp and pedal kids

I have been thinking about trying making some pedal clones from pre-packaged DIY kits.

From websites like buildyourownclone etc.

Can anyone vouch for these pedals?

Is it difficult to build these pedals? how do they sound?

Obviously we can't tell you how they all sound. Every kit is going to sound a little different in the same way pedals from different manufacturers do. Most of them have good parts, though, and they're almost all straighforward clones, so you know what you're getting. Buildyourownclone is a good site, their pedals tend to be decent.

Building a pedal isn't difficult but you do have to know what you're doing. If you can read a diagram and solder reasonably well you shouldn't have much trouble.
