Question Palm Muting Help

I am learning The Cave by Mumford and Sons There is a fair amount of palm muting in that song mixed a really fast tempo on your strumming hand.

My palm muting is no good when I do anything but down strums. If you have any tips for fast palm muting with a complicated strumming pattern I would be very happy to read them.

Thank you

I'v been threw exactly the same problem! What you will need is exercise! Just play unmuted then muted. Just do it on one or two strings until you get the hang of it. Make sure your pick hand is right over the bridge and mute just a slight forward of it, not too hard. Move your pick hand towards the pickups so you can hear the difference. You will notice that it sounds chunkier towards the bridge. And don't press so hard it deadens the string, unless that's the sound you are going for.
