Bon Iver - Holocene
Buckethead - Electric Tears
Taylor Swift - The Last Time
Snow Patrol - Set The Fire To The Third Bar
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Joshua Radin - Winter

EDIT: I also have to second Black. That's one of my favourite songs ever. 'Garden' from the album is also really good/sad.

I'm a fan of A Great Day for Freedom by Pink Floyd.

I has melancholic bits and then some happy bits mixed in that are very uplifting, in respect to the song. Also, the end solo is very happy/magnificent.

さくら 森山直太朗
"Sakura" by Naotarō Moriyama

(Sakura (桜) are those cherry trees, which bloom around when spring comes around in Japan. Hence the hair colour of the annoying waste of space featured in Naruto)

Vacant - Dream Theater

It's such a powerful song even though the lyrics and composition are very minimalistic. The cello is just beautiful.
