ZT Lunchbox and small speakers

So I was browsing around getting more info about the ZT Lunchbox amp. 200W SS in a small lightweight package. Heard good things about it and could be useful for gigs in far away dives.

Stumbled on this interview with the main guy behind ZT. One part made me go wha?

One thing that really knocks me out about the Lunchbox is how well it cuts through a live band mix. Even with that taken into account, do you have any recommendations for ways to increase the mid & high frequency dispersion?

Actually, a small speaker has wider projection than a large one, so the coverage of the Lunchbox is way better than a 12. But if you want more, try putting as much reflecting area behind the amp as possible. It may sound counter-intuitive, but try it.
I must've missed that memo

Anyone tried one of these?

Projection doesn't matter if it doesn't sound good. The small speaker in those things sounds awful. They sound ok hooked up to a bigger cab.

Wow, if that's for real then that's one hell of an endorsement.

Btw, in the UK I had to watch that video here http://www.mtv.co.uk/artists/zz-top...h1-storytellers

Yes, I've tried it. Didn't like it. It's got that one distortion sound and a mediocre clean. That video sounds good but I'd try one before buying one based on that. My experience was underwhelming.
