I can imagine Foals becoming a lot more popular, for a kind of indie rock act with math influences they already were pretty damn big, and a month or so ago they released a single from their upcoming third album and their sound is becoming a lot more mainstream than the earlier work, they might just become huge.

I gotta agree, those guys rule.
The thing with punk rock though, is that there are millions of great bands. And hardly any of them will reach popularity (I mean, check out; None More Black, The Flatliners as an example).

There's a band in my area that's a complete Foals rip-off; they dress the same, same hairstyles, everything. They got a bit of a "holier than thou" attitude and have spent a lot of their time trying to distance themselves from the local scene (or lack-thereof), seems to have worked out for them though. Their music is alright, but not something I'd pay to see. Here's a live vid of them and their cringe-worthy "dancing".
