My Ultimate NGD - Petrucci BFR Koa

I believe this is my biggest NGD ever. Scored an incredible deal on this, $1900 without a scratch on it. This is the elusive Musicman John Petrucci Koa BFR. Ever since I saw one at Guitar Center I promised myself I'd grab one if I found a great deal. More pictures coming soon, but for now just a taste. Full review and good pics tonight.

Quite pretty. I like the looks of the Koa, whether it's on an acoustic or electric. I know how Koa effects the tone of an acoustic, but how does it sound on an electric?

Can't recall ever hearing a Koa electric. Record some clean tones for us!

Impressive. HNGD!

Now, you do realize that if you use strings other than EBs on this, the strings will melt...right?

How do you like the piezo pups?

Thanks guys. I do in fact use slinky strings. The piezo is amazing, and the whole guitar just sounds alive in a way I've rarely heard.

I've had the hots for it since it was released but I wasn't about to pay Guitar Center $3500...I was waiting for an opportunity to hop on a deal and luckily it happened. Love this guitar. Need to crank it and it's too late, so that'll be tomorrow
