Been Thinking About Getting a Custom Guitar

I've wanted a Gibson Les Paul 3 Pickup 57 Reissue VOS for a long time now. I but 3399 isn't something I can afford. Or justify. I mean yeah, it's gonna be an incredible piece of work, and a piece of art but after all its just wood and metal. It's extremely overpriced in my opinion. But I still want one. Badly.

So I have been looking into custom made guitars. Are there any in the UK you'd recommend? I want it based on my 2010 Faded Standard. Or as close to it in a 57 reissue.

Isn't it better to find a professional luthier? It will be cheaper and you'll have more customization.

Simply buy everything you want separate and have a luthier assemble it( neck, body, pickups, etc). I figure you can save a chunk of money doing it like that. Gibsons are pricey because they're a brand name. I build guitars and sell them up to 2-3 times what I built them for, which I'm sure Gibson does.
