Love it. Haven't seen a koa JP with chrome hardware before. Looks amazing.

Thanks griffin. It's a Guitar Center special run from what I understand. I greatly prefer it to the gold hardware. I finished doing a setup on it and it plays great. The neck was actually a little TOO straight when I got it, but now it's all great. Now I can set off learning all of Dream Theater's Scenes from a Memory ![]()

HNGD, I must say that's the nicest finish I've seen on a JP yet, nice.

Thanks! I love the finish, especially on the neck. I've never seen a neck with blackburst edges. I'm really digging it, and the bridge pickup sounds great coil tapped.

That is a much nicer 'burst neck than I've seen on any Gibson.

What you're going to need is a new amp.

Report after playing my first studio session with the BFR: fantastic. Didn't have to tune once in 2 hours of playing. EBMM makes some funky designs but they sure can build a guit fiddle.

Is that a Koa top on a Mahogany back?
It's one of, if not THE best looking Music Man I've ever seen.

I never, EVER, go to a new gear day more than twice. Everytime theres a new post, I come back to this thread, just as an excuse to look at your new guitar.

I was looking at some figured KOA yesterday at the hardwood store, and it's like $60 a board foot. Definitely one of the most expensive wood they sell, and it's gorgeous. I might snag some if I see a piece big enough for a top(I work there, so I get wood for a little over half price, yay!).
