Tempo Change Mid-Song: Queries
Hi guys! Never have I posted in here before, so this is kind of new to me!
![]() So I've started writing a song that I'm really quite proud of. For the first 14 bars it's a soft intro at 92bpm. The bit that follows that is still attached to the intro, but is more like what the rest of the song will be like-heavier. Basically I want to change the tempo without it sounding so abrupt I guess. I've posted a MIDI clip of what I've done, because I'm not super comfortable sharing my tabs on here for all to see. Hope you can help guys! ![]() Cheers ![]()

just keep it as midi, the intro sounds like something out of final fantasy hahahaha
the drums don't help much in the transition, though. sounds like stopping one thing and starting another rather than any sort of cohesion, with the drums being almost nonexistent prior. but it's hard to tell without actually hearing it outside of guitarpro because it loses the real feel and mix of a live drummer to see how it would flow. as-is, though, it doesn't bode well, though. you could probably make the intro longer and make the drums come in throughout it and have the guitars be more active and heavy to help the listener connect the two bits.

I made drums sound a little bit better IMO.
Not bad song, just lacks the catchiness a little bit...

Excellent! Thank you all a lot for your feedback!
I'll work with the drums coming in earlier, however I personally think that it'll kind of give the heavier bit a bit more kick, so to speak. Thanks a million for your kindness, and recommendations! Thanks a lot! ![]()
