I am leaning towards white; it really makes the hardware stand out.
Also, how did it play? My local music store doesn't have any (it's a small independent shop) so I haven't had a chance to play one, they just sound like great guitars from videos and reviews. I own an Epiphone Les Paul so I know they're a reliable brand. Oh, and how big is it? I'm something like 5'9", will it be 'playable'? |

FWIW, I do not buy solid color guitars. For one thing, I like to see the wood grain and manufacturers are notorious for using the less than spectacular looking wood for their solid color guitars. It's just a personal preference. If the red one had a transparent finish, I'd go for it.

I am a sucker for both red and white guitars, I've always wanted one, no matter which colour
Anyways, I'd choose the red one! |

They're both really nice. I would go with the white one. It looks better than the red with the gold hardware.

Is there some reason your own sense of taste is non-functional right now? Would you like someone to recommend you a decent neurologist?

How much are they? Gibson has some lower end models that may not be much more the way they're blowing things out.
The white if you're a Rush fan. The cherry otherwise. |

There are some models like the Midtown that have been on sale lately. They may not have every feature but right now is a great time for anyone looking to buy a Gibson. |

Yes, but while you're all here, can anyone tell me how it plays? (I have explained this further in one of the top posts).

White and Black ES is like White and Black Tuxedo. Both are classy.

In most circumstances, I'd go for the red. Not a big fan of white guitars.
But seeing those pix, I'd go for the white or black...and that white seems a touch more magical to me.

I was simply pointing out that other people's opinions don't matter. Why should you care what anyone else thinks of how your guitar looks?
