Steve Stevens? NGD!!!
This came up on my local craigslist at a very good price. I mentioned it to my parents while I was at college and they surprised me with it for Christmas
I honestly need another guitar like a hole in the head at this point, but this beauty actually surprised me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Review: For a fairly inexpensive guitar, it plays absolutely awesome. The neck is chunkier than what i'm used to (Ibz Wizard/Jem profiles), but it's still comfortable. The fretboard is very flat and the action is very low. Also, the freboard has a nice figure to it that's hard to see in the pictures. The headstock has the "monster script" which I think is way cool. It has Washburn "Eliminator" pickups and they're actually decent stock pickups which shocked me. It has a poplar body which is not light at all when combined with the maple neck and fretboard. The gold hardware will wear off if you look at it the wrong way. The bridge is a Washburn 600-s LFR and it's decent too. This guitar has lived in its case almost its entire life. There's not any swirls or pick scratches on the black body. I'd say it's one of the nicest SS40's out there. Overall, this is a GREAT budget guitar. I'm not entirely sure if i'm going to keep it yet or not, but it's making a good case for the keeper pile.

Some of the guitars I got this year that didn't make the keeper pile, but deserve an honorable mention since they never got their NGD's.
![]() JS100 signed Chrome Boy clone. ![]() MIA 93' Fender Strat in Caribbean Mist. ![]() Kramer 600st ![]() And a '87 Ibanez S540 in Caribbean blue. All of these guitars were less than stellar in someway imo. Except the S540. Should've kept that one ![]()

It was cool, but it was a brick! The chroming also wasn't anything to brag about. Ibanez even had problems chroming the real guitars.
