I'm not really expecting an answer to the titular question. Maybe an insight or two would be good, yes.

A tragedy is a tragedy, no matter where it happens. Now, I know that most people think that India is an unsafe, poor, backward hellhole and nothing more. I normally detest these ignoramuses. But sometimes, such as today, I feel that they have a point. Sure, many parts in India are incredibly safe, egalitarian, educated, culturally and socially progressive. And then there is Delhi.

Delhi is one of the most unsafe places for women in the world. This is just one instance of a commonplace public rape:

This sickens me. I wish Kerala would secede from the rest of India.


I understand that this is an exercise in futility to a great extent in any 'first-world'- centric avenue. But I really want people to know that India will break up into many small states either naturally or by force in the near future.

It may be interesting to keep a look out for.

Broader question is:

We've all heard about Texas, but are there any other rogue states that crap on the coat-tails of whatever country you are from? So much so that you want it removed/make you want to remove yourself to get away from it.
