please help with a melodic idea.
Please advise !
If I take the C major Pentatonic scale and decide to create a motif where no notes are repeated until all 5 notes are heard. then I take this row of notes and start to alter the duration of them and sometimes reverse the sequence. How would this relate to serialism, if at all? thank you.

it wouldn't lol
it'd just be an exercise in masturbation and would forego any meaningful expression you might have otherwise put into the piece by letting the audience hear you ejaculate over a midi sequence for however-many-minutes
