It sounds about right about to me. I'm sure with your advice and some wiring diagrams I can work it out. Cheers!

And I bought a pre-wired control plate so the potential to **** up was as small as possible.

Anyway, the neck is now firmly attached to the body. Gonna take some time to relax and get something to eat then hopefully do the wiring tonight so long as nothing else comes up. Pictures will be included in my later posts.

I really need to sort out this wiring. Trying to wrap my head around it.

So I've got the control plate, that's pre-wired and I know where the wires go. One for the ground and two for the jack.

The confusion is where the wires from the pick up go. I've got 3 wires per pickup. A red, a white and an unshielded wire. According to the sheet with it, the red is positive and the white is the ground but it says nothing about the non-insulated one.

Where do all these wires connect to? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The non-insulated one will be the ground for the casing. That joins the other grounds. The positive goes to the switch, the ground goes to ground with the unshielded one.

Managed to work it out. The answer was actually right there in the note that came with the pickup, I just couldn't see it for looking at it. Cheers for your help anyway!

So yeah, she's done. Over 2 years from buying the first part to completetion. Total cost was a little over £200, not including postage costs. I'm proud of how it turned out. The wiring inside is pretty ghetto looking, a lot of tape in there but it seems to have done the trick. There's a few cosmetic imperfections too but I doubt it's something anyone would notice much and it adds some "character" to it.

Also, there's something I forgot to get. If you pay close attention and have a keen eye, you might just figure out what that something is.

I'll buy strings tomorrow and do a set up and she'll be up and running with any luck. Will get some more pics too probably if y'all want.

String trees?

Nut? (I think there's a black one there, right?)

You should drill it for through body stringing, so you can have only certain strings attatched to the tremelo if you want

The nut is there and I have string tees. Just not sure if I want to attach them yet, we'll see how I feel when it's strung.

And it's already drilled through body and the holes match up pretty well with the bridge so I could if I wanted. Have a b-bender thing going on. I wanna try the tremolo out fully first though. See how I like it.
