Hello, i am new to this forum and i would just like some help for making some decisions on what equipment to get.

when i first started playing guitar my parents bought me a fender squire starter pack (i got it here: Magasin de musique Nantel - Ensembles / Fender Squier Affinity Strat® Special with Fender Frontman Amp® 1.) i also bought my self a boss distortion amp. im thinking of advancing myself in equipment so i was debating between getting a schecter omen 6 diamond plus or a Marshall MG30FX amp. i like playing hard rock like asking alexandria or avenged sevenfold, if you can suggest anything else that i should get instead of that please leave me suggestions. i am 14 years old and my budget is around 300 dollars. what should i do. thank you!!

Your amp is the first thing I'd upgrade. The frontman amps are not great by any means.

I'd stay away from the MG30FX, mostly because for the price you can do way better.

Budget: around 300$

Genres: i like to play metal rock, punk but mostly metal like avenged sevenfold and asking alexandria.

New or Used: i`d like to buy it new but if i could find one used in excelent condition (with the box and everything) then sure.

Home or Gig: i mostly play at home but i sometimes play shows at school.

Closest City: laval, canada, i normally go to italmelodie or nantel musique

You'll want something with atleast a 12 inch speaker. Your used market is fairly dry, Vypyr is your best bet IMO.

Can you explain to her at all that you'll be able to afford something much better if you do? I mean that's your situation really, you can either sell that stuff and grab a Vypyr 75, save up for longer or just grab the 30.

As stated, $300 ain't much.

Like Eppicurt mentions, the Peavy Tube 60 is a pretty good bet... you'd be able to get pretty good metal tones outta that thing.

Is there a reason your mum doesn't allow you to sell the MT-2 and the Frontman? Chances are, once you've upgraded, you won't go back to that little SS amp.

I was actually talking about the 75. The 60 tube was a bit out of his budget. I know they're just a big practice amp, but if he was using it for school performances I thought that it'd suit.

But yeah, a Tube 60 would be way better.

my mom wouldnt want me to sell the mt-2 because it was a birthday present from my sister, and she wants me to keep the amo for some reason. also if she would let me where would i sell it and for how much

the most my parents would give me would be like 60$. i have 300$ so i would have like 360$ if i kiss a lot of ass, and when i mean kiss i mean like almost lick it

Sell it without her knowing? I get if it was a present and what not, but honestly, who cares? They're both incredibly average pieces of gear and they won't get you anywhere near as close to the sounds you're after.

Either way you have these options;

A) Buy the Vypyr 30.
B) Sell the Frontman and MT2 and get a Vypyr 75
C) Save up for a while more and get the 6505 112 combo Volcz posted.
