how much distortion should i play for solo? how much for taping etc.
well i need to know how to play solos, from scale of 10, how much distortion should i use for playing regular notes, how much for taping, for power chords (playing the rythm guitar parts) etc. please just tell me how to use distortion as the lead guitarist

You won't get a better answer here than you did in EG. With the added down side that this isn't an issue of technique.

well i dont understand, its very easy to give very useful answers, its very simple for someone who really knows how to play that great instrument, just give me answer for this, which pickup for tapping? i mean bridge or neck

They both have their uses since they just sound different.
It's impossible to say how much gain you should use since tapping can be and is done with every tone I have ever heard. What tone you should use depends entirely on how you want to sound and what gear you have. ALSO this isn't a technique issue so this is the wrong forum anyway.
