NAD! Mesa content

Finally got rid of my vox modelling amp and marshall valvestate and upgraded! Seen this amp on gumtree for 375 and managed to get it down to 350 over the moon with it, its a huge step up from what I've been playing through, hope you guys appreciate it!

Here it is, Mesa Boogie Subway Rocket:

And the back, notice the handmade in California!

And finally a family photo, pedalboard is in need of updating though!

Love the amp, was putting off getting a tube amp because of playing at bedroom volumes but this 22 watt can get a brilliant clean and overdriven tone at a reasonable volume. It has 2 channels with a shared EQ which is very responsive and a contour switch which boosts the overdrive channel... Ooooh yeah! Nails an 80's metal lead tone Performs brilliantly in band situations as well especially through the 1x12 instead of its 1x10 speaker and takes pedals brillliantly so I can go from a heavy blues tone with the big muff to a rock tone with the overdrive channel and then to a lead tone/metal tone with the contour switch. Clean channel is very fat and bassy but sounds fantastic on the rythm pickup with a chorus pedal. Very happy with the purchase over all and think this amp will be with me for a long time! Sorry for the huge pics, not great with cameras and such

Definitely one of the more underrated Mesa amps out there! Nice find! Quite jealous actually, I like odd jems like that. HNAD

Also, call me blind but I definitely am not noticing anything that says handwired in CA

^No kidding, that would have been a decent price here in the U.S. on ebay.

I had a Mesa/Boogie Subway Rocket for six years, and only recently traded it for a Fender '59 Bassman Reissue.

See how the speaker cable is able to slip over the aluminium strut? One day something is going to knock into that and break it. Murphy is a ****. He will show up and make it happen. He doesn't take holidays. One day he'll get you.
Grab yourself a piece of mains power cable and make one cut to the right length. It will last forever and even take a knock or three.

HNAD. Very nice.
