Not even the same thing, man. "Shavorules42 is a little bitch" has never been yelled at anyone while they're doing exhausting manual labor and being beaten.

Although in retrospect, no living black person today has had that happen to them. So it's pretty much just an 'offensive word', like '******' or 'bitch' (is bitch offensive to women as a group?).

Having watched the movie, it's not like it portrays slavery in any sort of good light. There's a very clear dichotomy between "good" violence and "bad" violence. The scenes that involve slaves being beaten/tortured/forced to fight each other brutally are painful to watch. The scenes involving white slave-owners and criminals getting their brains blown out are relatively humorous.

And Spike Lee's opinion of a movie he hasn't seen, nor that he "will comment about" despite actually commenting on it, is completely worthless and should be disregarded. He's not the king of black people.

Tarantino, in his typical fashion just doesn't beat around the bush and approaches everything with a deliberate lack of restraint.
