Crackling noise when playing through amp.
Wanted to create a separate thread for this topic.
When playing my amp. Occasionally I get a pop, and crackle sound. That doesn't last long and fades away quickly. It does not affect the amps output. It occurs at random. It isn't a problem with any of my cables, or at least I can't imagine so. No wiggling/moving of the cables I'm using in my set up can recreate the noise.... Words of advice?

Tap on your tube to see if it can be reproduced. If so you need to clean the connection with some deoxit. Don't spray in e socket, only on the tube pins work the tube in and out a few times.
Is this the DSL?

It happens on the green (crunch/clean) channel, which is the primary channel that I use. I don't really play the OD1/OD2 channel at all anymore so I haven't noticed if the problem occurs on both channels.

It is always nice to have Deoxit or "insert-brand" electrical contact cleaner handy. I use the Radioshack brand cleaner (it works just fine) it is way cheaper and you get about 5x as much as the Deox-it.
I still say it is a very good chance it is a preamp tube, but it is always nice to have a few spares just incase.

The best combo I have found with new tubes for the DSL is V1 (new)mullard 12ax7, V2 JJ ecc83, V3 JJecc83 and V4 (new)mullard 12ax7.
I do have in my DSL V1/V2 are NOS Mullard ecc83, V3 NOS Telefunkin ecc83 and V4 NOS JAN-GE 5751 this combo makes my amp sound amazing. But these tubes are ridiculous in price except for the JAN-GE 5751 (~$30)
