Pickup Question
Hey guys,
lately been getting to urge/want to upgrade my pickups on my Mexican Jazz bass. Not really sure what to go with though. I thought Seymour's, but I would figure I would ask around first. Not really looking for active pickups have MECs in my warwick and just perfer passives tone. Thanks!

MEC's, as I understand, are passive pick-ups; Warwick just usually use them with active electronics. I personally like Fender Custom Shop 60's or EMG JVX's for jazz bass pick-ups.

Remember to measure the pickups first, Mexican Fenders use different sized pickups.

You can't go wrong with almost anything Seymour Duncan makes. Now, if you're a "vintage" freak, you should look at the offerings from Lollar, Lindy Fralin and Nordstrand. They're not cheap, but they're very good.

Oh and another question might be stupid but, would it matter which way the pickup is installed? since I'm a lefty would I have to turn it around. I assume it would not matter but I don't want to be wrong after the fact hah. Kinda looking at the quarter pounders or the custom shop 60s.

Did you measure the pickups yet? Its a 90s model so its going to count.
Which way round they are shouldn't matter at all, if the logos are uside down you can always put plain covers on.
