Overdrive Pedal
I play with a 60s Reissue Strat, an Al-2000, and a Deluxe Reverb. I have a Tech 21 XXL but I'm considering replacing it. What would be a good overdrive for mainly ACDC, but other classic rock and it needs a "creamy" blues tone? Or should I stick with the XXL?

I cant really say, but I do have the GFS Greenie (TS-9 clone) and for the price it is really hard to beat new. I would deff give them a look.

I believe there was someone here that bought a bunch of the GFS pedals last year and they all recieved good reviews. Type in GFS brownie in the search bar for the forums.

I like the Plextortion most, but I have to buy textbooks, pay tuition, and groceries so $50 is pretty damn appealing.

it sound like you want a Marshall tone and the OCD is not that, but it is a good od pedal.

CMAT MODS signa drive will do it depending on what amp and cab. i find that i generally have a british sue to my playing though brit speakers but on the USA setting on my tweaker with the switch up on my signa i can get a fairly good american sound.

regardless, it gives a very natural crunch and it would sound good in generally trying to mimic a natural tube crunch

I like Guitarfetish, I have ordered parts from them on quite a few occasions, but only ordered the Greenie from their pedal selection. It broke (my fault, I kicked the output and it started squealing) and I contacted them about 3 1/2 months later about a possible fix and they told me to return it and they sent me a brand new pedal for free. Deff do a review when you get it.

I thought about getting one, but I own a JCM already. All the Marshall I need......at the moment.

A Tube Screamer of some sort is a pretty safe bet for most classic rock stuff. The Voodoo Sparkle Drive is also good for mid-gain applications, a bit rougher than the Tube Screamer, good for rhythm playing.

depends what you are buying. you don't always have that option.

i bet maybe 10% things i own would be in stock in any store, even in store used regularly (not counting ebay or GC's used site. especially higher dollar amps and boutique pedals (which i don't have too many of).
