Just bought new gear need help.
I just purchased a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 18 Head and a Egnater tourmaster 2x12 with casters. It sounds amazing but i noticed only sound is coming out of one speaker. I switch the cabinet cable between left and right out puts both speakers work just only one will work at a time is this because of the voume i'm playing on? Or is there something wrong?

You do have the switch on mono and not stereo, right? Thats the switch on the back panel of the cab. Make sure you are using the right ohms selection on your amp.
You can aslo run a speaker cable to each side while it is in stereo, but make sure you get the ohm right.

Okay the back of my amp doesn't have a switch it just says speaker 8-16 ohms and the cabinet has a bracket saying stereo left and right 16ohms and it has a mono jack that says 8 ohms.

Plug the cable into the 8 ohm mono jack on the cab and then plug it into the 8 ohm output on your amp.

when you run stereo, it basically means each speaker will have its own input (like from two sources, amps etc).
when you do this, each speaker ohms = the ohms you need to plug into. HOWEVER, when you wire two speakers together, the ohms add up differently so the two combined = ohms that you amp needs. mono = both speakers together = 8 ohms stereo = speakers are independent = 16 ohms a piece

correct, but when they are in stereo at 16ohms each you would still use the 8 ohm setting on your amp. But TS amp is an automatic ohms output (there are no ohm switches, just 1 output that will self regulate 16 or 8)
