ESP LTD H-1001 and H-351NT
Howdy folks! New year and in search of a new guitar! Ive been currently looking at the H-1001 and H-351NT as they look very similar. Only noticeable differences (in specs to say the least) is the Bridge , ESP locking tuners and actual solid colours. None of that see thru crap. Thats all i can find in differences.
I plan to go get the 351NT at the end of the month as I will have the money but Im wondering whether it would be worth to hold on and save an additional £200 for these added bonuses. Any advice? I do apologise if this thread has appeared in the past! |

I would get the 1001, but you should get what you want.

The 1001 is made in Korea out of moderately good woods. The 351 is made in China with lower quality woods. There are plenty of professional bands that tour and record with LTD Deluxes, they hold up well. Damn near nobody uses the LTD Standards because they are, to be blunt, bedroom hero guitars.
If you can afford the 1001 then there's no reason to consider the 351.

So if i can afford the h1001 its best to. Im wondering if it will come down in price at the release of the ESP LTD Elite series apparently at the start of the year. any ideas?
Hehe bedroom hero guitar. Yeah thats what it will be for majority , i do plan to gig with it and possibly record with it on my college projects as well as with the band however if that tips thetides some more? Cheers for the advice folks! |

No, the LTD Elite series is in the $1400-1500 range from what I've seen.
H-1001s are nice guitars qualitywise. I still can't fathom why they feel the need for so much ****ing abalone. I own an H-1007 (which is the H1001 in 7 string form), and it's a nice guitar with much more subtle pearloid binding. Now, if only they'd put normal white binding on more of the EC1000s...

Well Ive only been playing guitar for just over 3 yrs and only owned B.C Rich guitars which are all look really compared to sound. Least what I believe but the budget of the guitars are low =P Im expecting the quality of the ESP H-1001 is to excel dramatically when I do get it. It will be the first time I have some decent pick ups too so looking forward to them.
Not a fan of the Abalone inlay? Personally I dont mind it, completes the guitar fine I reckon but thats me =P. After purchasing this I plan to replace my amp also. Any suggestions? I have a Line 6 Spyder atm and i read alot of hate they get =P |

Well, depends on your amp budget.
I'd see if you can find a used 6505+ 112.
