So you want to sound like Smashing Pumpkins, Slayer, Tool and Led Zeppelin in one amp.

Hmm...

You need to be SPECIFIC.

Dude. A cool amp depends on what YOU consider cool.

I love Slash, Hendrix, Froosh. So I got an awesome Laney VC50, which sounds more like a Marshall than the new ones do.

I also have a Fender for the sweetest cleans you'll ever hear because I love jazzy and bluesy cleans.

So, tell me who you like, and I'll help you find an amp that you'll hopefully love.

The HT5R is a cool little amp, me and my pal went and bought one for you him a few months ago. It's got Marshally tones I believe and has that dual switch to sound more UK or US if that's your thing.

But it's only a 5W, so no gigging unless you mic it.

Well, you know. You like some high gain stuff and some bluesy, middy stuff. Perhaps that Blackstar would be okay. Go try one out. That's the best thing for you to do.

it does look exactly the same. sam ash had a few "exclusive" trads now. satin or full gloss finish, those with zebras, others with double creams.

it's like they just buy an entire run of something to call it "exclusive".

they all do that with gibson, i'm convinced it's so they don't have to price match each other since none of them technically have the same thing.

Not the line 6. It's a piece of shit. The Blackstar is okay.

I don't know about the other one. The HT5R is okay though.

What about the Vox Lil' Night Train? http://www.andertons.co.uk/guitar-a...=GoogleShopping

It's an awesome little head, the cab is great with a speaker swap. I think it's better than the 1W Blackstar. I played a few low wattage amps when I was looking for one for home practice, and the Vox was the best by far.

There is a small Blackstar head that I haven't played but was reviewed very well by Total Guitar this month, but there's no matching cab to go with it like the Vox.

You have lots of main questions!

I would always go for valve. It's good to be natural!

I want to help you and I have, it's just you need to be specific and precise.

You ask a question and then I have to ask you two more to be able to help you.

It's no big deal.

What amp will you be getting?
