Speaker recommendations?
I just got my new JCM 900 in, and felt foolish for not getting a cab. I was wondering about making one. What speakers would be a good compliment for this amp for power metal (IE hammerfall, iron maiden, amon arath)? I was hoping to keep price within reason, but I don't know how much speakers cost actually so I'll wait for ya'lls recommendations.

I don't know a huge deal about speakers but Celestion and Jensen are good brands. Vintage 30s, G12 - 50GLs, Classic Leads, G12T Hot 100s, G12T-75 and G12K-100 might be good. I'd reccomend researching different speakers but it is easier just to buy a cabinet.

Look at thw WGS reaper HP it is a Celestion G12H30 clone, but it has a 50watt rating so it is useable in a 2x12 cab with 100watt heads.
Another pair WGS recomends is their ET65 and the Veteran 30. The ET65 is a Celestion 12-65 clone and the Veteran 30 is a V30 clone) You could just get a regular Marshall 1960 cab with 12T75's you can get them used on GC for <$300. You'll have a hard time getting speakers for that price alone. WGS are the cheapest good speakers you can get at ~$69 each +~$12 S&H thats over $300 for speakers then you will need a jack, jackplate, handels, Tolex and grill cloth. You will have over $450 easy in just speakers and hardware. You can always sell 2 of the 12T75's for money and put 2 V30 clones in it (which the V30 and 12T75 make a great pair for metal) and still be cheaper.
