What do You most want in a guitar?

I ask because I am in the process of designing a new guitar.

Pickups and wires. Kinda standard procedure.

Jokes aside, it's all down to what style of guitar you want and what music you will be playing on it. We need more information before we can suggest components. Also, The Pit probably isn't the correct forum for this.

Well, neck, and bridge humbuckers, ans single coil in between. switch each pickup on of off individually. maple neck, not sure about body wood, or bridge yet.

Wrong forum.
Ask in GB&C or EG.

Well, what I look for in a guitar is a good listener with a sense of humor. That's very important.

I look for one without a whammy bar. Whammy bars usually cost about $20 extra on a guitar, but you don't even really need one. You don't see Slash or Bockethead (you know, the guy with the KFC box and the Chucky mask) using a whammy bar, because you don't need one to whammy.

A comfortable, ergonomic design (I personally prefer offset waists); a neck that's thin but not too thin (although I've noticed the rounder the profile is the more I tend to like it -- not too much of a fan of D-shaped necks, although V-necks aren't too bad, especially on acoustics); as close to perfect intonation as you can get; versatility in a very large number of genres (so it shouldn't have aesthetics tailored toward a certain genre); maybe some of that cool shit you see on a lot of high-end basses (and basses made to look like high-end basses) like active preamps and EQ and coil splitters and phase switches and all those other knobs and switches like an Alembic or a vintage B.C. Rich (I think it would be kinda cool to have a pickup blend knob like most basses do instead of a traditional switch, but maybe that's just me).

Oh, and as for wood? Swamp ash. Maybe something like pau ferro for the fretboard? Definitely a maple neck, or better yet, a maple/walnut laminate.

I don't really like locking trems, so a floating Wilkinson would be awesome. Either that or just hardtail.

I like a good personality and low self esteem. If a guitar has low self esteem it is easy to play.

I don't see how it would be damaging. I got called C-dog for a number of years despite not being a dog. I turned out alright.

Does that mean that if a woman has low playing action, she is easy to fuck?
