Looks just like a gimmick to me. I dunno, I'd be interested in how people can use those extra 6-8 frets.

Those are so small, kinda useless. I think fretless up above 24 would be better by far

the body isn't cut away any further...it wouldn't be comfy to play. If i seen one in a shop id pick it up and have a go... but that is all

Ugh 2 full octives are enough for me .. some sweeps and scale runs on an 8 string, 36fret guitar is something id like to hear though

There were two limited edition 30-fret RGs for 2011. They were very popular so they re-released them, I think.

I wonder if they will make a cheaper version of M8M, though. I am afraid I'll have to sell some gear to buy a guitar like that.

At least one of the Gary Kramer Guitars Delta Wing models- the Alien, as I recall- is a 7 string with 36 frets.

And yes, you can access all of the frets.

Yeah, I can't wait. Now I can get a guitar to put in an alternate lower tuning while keeping that high end.

I know you're being snarky, but there ARE tunings that do that. For instance, I use Robert Fripp's New Standard Tuning: CGDAEG.
