I couldn't sell the MiM just like that. It's a pale blue and I've had it years and most importantly, it's the one my girlfriend plays with. She loves the colour.

Whenever I mention selling it she convinces me otherwise. I don't think I'll ever win that battle.

I used black dye on my light rosewood and a few layers of linseed oil to make it shiny. now it looks like ebony. Well, almost. Maybe I should coat some layers of tru oil on it even more shiny but worry about sealing off too much. Wood gotta breath too you know

a buddy of mine that i worked with at sam ash has a dbz prototype that dean z gave his dad for him. his dad and dean are buds.

he actually has a few dbz's as they're sponsored by dbz. but he's had the proto quite a few years.

it's an all mahogany HH lp type, see through brown satin finish.

i played it, it's a great guitar. he's afraid to play it.

igor put a ding in it, rip igor! (didn't get killed for the ding in the dbz).

tom are you going to keep the neck pup? jorge loves it, i was sorta meh on it.

honestly, at the moment I think anything in my tone that lacking is due to a combination of poor playing and my tiny little Fender Champ XD so its staying for now... that and I have no money to upgrade it with either.

I like it for now, I totally see your point about the compression though, but its not that bad, but my tastes are certainly less developed than yours
