Song Patterns

I have a bad habit of writing songs that include a lot of 2nd interval changes, usually 2 of changes in a row (Like The chorus for Through Glass by Stone Sour, Dream On by Aerosmith, etc). I really like how it sounds, but I'm worried that other people will think it sounds derivative and lose interest if they think I'm recycling the same progression.
I change where the pattern is whenever I'm writing, so it's not completely the same from song to song, but it still seems like a concern.
Does it bother you if it sounds like bands are reusing progressions this way?

Write what sounds interesting to YOU. And worry about whether people like it later. As for bands recycling chords progressions, it's not what chord progression you use but HOW you use it. All the little things inbetween, timbre, articulation, rhythm, dynamics, texture are what makes your song different from the guy next to you using the same chord progression to write your song.
