The Ergs should have been the first band posted. Shame on all of you.

Honestly, it's too hard to keep up with what bands this board likes and hates from a week-to-week basis, so at the risk of ridicule I'll just post some stuff I enjoy.
Warning: Lots 'o songs

I guess? I just downloaded something that was like "The Complete Direct Hit! Collection" way back. Then my computer crashed so I downloaded Domesplitter because it had mostly the same songs but I did not dig it at all, and I couldn't find the versions I had before.

nah. they're all real good but the only one ii'd consider best of their respective decade is prob milo cause i dont listen to much 80s music anyway. dont get me wrong, theyre all good. i just wouldnt label them as THE best like you did. especially jawbreaker and joyce manor

I don't know, man. Joyce Manor's self titled fit the bill for what pop punk should be, without rehashing Descendants or Jawbreaker.
And Jawbreaker was a seminal band for the burgeoning '90s scene. I feel he's pretty safe to throw those down.

joyce manor is great. i just think that in this decade so far, let's get you somewhere else and on the impossible past beat it out. and i'm not trying to take anything away from jawbreaker. there's no denying that they were important as ****. my problem with labelling that one the absolute best of the 90's like he did was that there was so much good stuff that i don't like putting one above the rest in this case. i'd probably say the same about all of them to be honest but that wouldn't be necessary at all and would be counterproductive so i'll quit here.. and yeah. of course i should know that this is just to get the guy into pop-punk and not giving the guy somewhere to start defeats the purpose. ![]()

Oh no! Differing opinions! In music no less! This is so unexpected.
Please. Nobody will ever agree on "the best."
