Hello. What do you think of Fender mustang 3 or 4 amp? Does it sound good or are the sounds verry plastic digital? Whats with the built in Celestion speakers? Are they on some decent level? Would you use it for live gigs?

Depends on its application.

Personally, for the price I think there's better things available. They don't sound terrible, but I wouldn't personally go out and buy one for gigging. It's just a big practice amp.

And where are you located and can you go used? Help us out here man.

Are cleans important to you? Will the venues you play have an inhouse PA you can use to mic up?

You could check out a Valveking 212 or a Jet City JCA2112.

i dont like the valveking. i like the jet city but, how loud is it? is it loud enough to play with the drummer? is it loud enough for a small gig in the bar without PA sistem?

Yes you can gig a Mustang, but I would rather have an amp that did 1 good sound rather than alot of diecent sounds. Modeling amps like the mustang/vox vt are great platforms to learn what you like/do not like in an amp. but once you learn what you like or don't you will want an amp that will do that 1 or 2 sounds good .

I giged with a Line 6 Spyder for 2 yrs in 2001-02 it served its purpose very well for me, but it was always lacking something and I grew tired of it. I own several good amps and some were very in expensive.

Alot of guys hear come across as being rude/assholes, but most are trying to save you $$ in the long run.

The difference is you wouldn't use a practice amp for live shows because they're just that. Practice amps.
