New Spring Fender Pawn Shop Releases.

A couple of new Fenders just showed up on their website.

The Fender Pawn Shop Super-sonic
A guitar following the tradition of the Fender '51, this Fender is based off of a discontinued Squier model, the Vista Super-Sonic. It's one of the more... strange guitars I've ever seen.

The Fender Pawn Shop '70S Stratocaster Deluxe.
Another wtfF (what the ****, Fender?) guitar, like the Fender Offset Special, this one's halfway between a Telecaster and a Stratocaster and has the worst parts of both and the advantages of neither (my opinion, feel free to disagree).

Finally, returning...

At long last...

the original production Baritone....

The Fender Pawn Shop Bass IV!
Who cares if it has a Jazzmaster pickup in the bridge?

Also, for our brethren who dwell on the lower frequencies:
The Fender Pawn Shop Mustang Bass.
Pretty standard fare here actually, 'cept for the humbucker pickup.
Actually, I go by Dave, but there are already too many Daves on this forum.

I wanted a Mustang Bass with a humbucker in it. I guess that solves that problem. The white with the blue racing stripe is sexy smexy too.

I love Bass VIs but I don't like this one. Why put a humbucker in the bridge and a 5-way switch? I think they dropped the ball here when they don't offer a regular Bass VI. At least it's pretty.

The 70s Strat has actually been done before. Fender's Japanese division made them for quite a few years. They are a body and pickguard combination that I have wanted for a long time (original MIJ ones virtually never come up for sale), and my only problems with the originals were that they had 6-screw vibratos, which I don't like, and the Thinline's controls are not the most conveniently arranged.

Not only does this model fix those two spec issues I had, but it also has Fender's 'U' neck profile, which is both their least common but also my favourite neck profile. The only thing that it is missing is the original had a carved heel, like MIA Deluxe guitars have, and it took a normal Thinline pickguard and neck whereas this obviously takes a Strat heel.

Suffice to say, I will be buying one in each colour. Probably take advantage of the Strat heel change and swap in a 4.75" scale rosewood neck on at least one of them.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

I want the Bass VI! If I ever get one, I'll change the switch to 3-way LP-style and put a SD Pearly Gates in th bridge! Oh my god I want the Bass VI so bad!
