you know,
i don’t spend entire nights anymore missing her relentless smile or her igneous eyes. (i used to staple my fingers to her terracotta hair, wishing for some sort of blood to show.) sometimes, i let it sit with me, just for a moment, while i pawn some of my balance for another bottle. sometimes i even get so dizzy i fall into the wine, wishing she and i would float away in the brawling brine. but you know, just for a little while. |
