rhythm

i have realized recently that my rhythm is weak i use a metronome but what else should i be doing to improve this

Use the shift key as appropriate when you type.

Disciplined (& correct) alternate picking can help, too.

See if you can find the exact centre of the beat with your metronome on it's lowest setting. Always good one.

foot tapping has helps. Whenever you are out and there is music, tap your foot. You can do it to a melody/song in your head too.

Try some dancing lessons too. I haven't tried those myself yet, but definitely will.
