Changing an LED in a Fulltone OCD?

Is it easy to do? I want to change the stock red LED and change it to a brighter blue. I know next to nothing about soldering but I'm wanting to learn. Would this be a good way to start?

get the schematic for it and trace the path of the LED. just make sure you get it the right way round.

Watch some youtube videos on soldering. grab some wire and vero board and practice before you start messing with the OCD.
