It depends at what speed. If it was ****ing dire, then I'd get the Tube. But that's longer and during rush hour people will dry hump your thigh when your packed in like Sardines, while you're unable to gain an inch of space to slap them. So. I'd prefer to ride, and I have rode in the rain with my old Epi LP just wrapped in one towel in the gig bag and it was definitely raining, not just some drizzle, but enough for me to have to wipe my visor every few minutes, not pouring, but definite rain. It was fine. I think with enough towels and stuff and not a lot of rain, I should be okay. If there's no known gigbag that can be submerged in water without drenching the enclosed guitar I'll just have to make a judgement and take the Tube if it's too bad.

I'd double bag it at the very least.

TBH, I think it's silly to use a gig bag at gigs.

That's a good idea. Towels, waterproof bags, towels, black bag, gigbag #1, towels, gigback #2. Jobs a goodun'!

My simple answer.
Put a bin bag over your guitar then put it in your gig bag you already own. It's cheaper. Waterproof and you can keep your bag
