Hi guys,

I really love the song "Central" by John Frusciante () especially the part @ 1:03 hits me ... my question is: "How does he produce this particular sound?"

I´ve tried to imitate this sound by pushing the volume pedal and adding some reverse and hall but it did not work out the way I wanted to

If someone could help... you would definitely made my day ... thanks

i love this song also alot of johns work really touches me in how out of the box he is. as to the over all sound i think it starts with a guitar with the tone knob rolled back on a single coil that he slowly rolls in or he probably has a tone pedal for it. as for the 1:03 part i think it might be his synthesis but that is my guess there is a vibrating magnet thing that will make a string sustain as long as you hold it on it but i think it sounds more like a synth or a butt load of effects. the 3:29 part is pry the tone turned way down with a fuzz pedal in there to make it super deep and maybe an octaver in there too to drop the tone. i cant check cuz my rig is at home and im stationed away due to the army. hope i could help and its cool to see other ppl like this stuff too. ive really enjoyed alot of it and hope he continues to produce music.
