Hey guys I have an arpeggiated chord progression and the last chord holds for two more beats. So if I was in 4/4 I can add a tie to it on a small 2/4 bar or is it 6/4?
If it's 6/4 how do I notate it?

B:-------0
G:----0---
D:--4-----
A:5-------
E:---------

The e & B strings are what last the added two beats, the other notes are eight notes.

your call, it doesn't really matter. i'd probably add it as 2/4, particularly if there was a repeat so i could use it as the pickup

Am I reading this wrong? It looks like even with the added two beats, if the other notes are eighths then you've still only got four beats, which doesn't require an added measure at all.

Ok, umm 4/4 has 4 and I needed two more meaning:
4/4+2= one 6/4 or one 4/4+ one 2/4

he's saying if the first 3 notes are eighth notes and the last 2 are quarter notes, you're still only using 3 and a half beats. but we can't see the rest of the measure, so
