Zappa's Baby snakes SG seems pretty iconic to me, at least to fans of his music

Buddy Holly, a truly Iconic Strat Player, whose style was copied by players from Los Angeles to London:

When I think of Albert King I think of a V
Joe Bonamassa I think of 57' Gold Top LP Adam Jones Silverburst LP Pete Loeffler I think of Gold PRS 24s Mark Tremonti with his PRS SC Bucketheads White LP and Bob Marleys LP Special. Not all of these are what I would call, Iconic. But they are iconic to me nonetheless |

Maybe FrankenTeles. Morse used a Tele body. Page had his LP wired to get the sound of his DragonTele.

I don't really think there's anything more iconic than Jimi and his Stratocaster.
And I'm an LP man so my bias isn't towards strats! ![]()

Ace Frehley- Sunburst LP with 3 humbuckers IMO. Any LP with 3 pickups makes me think of ACE.

J. Mascis and his Jazzmaster Billie Joe Armstrong (I know, I know) and his Strat, later on his Gibson LP Jr hmmm, Joey Santiago (the Pixies) always comes to mind when I see a Les Paul Custom as well. ...Gene Simmons and his 'Axe' |

First, perhaps, but not in so strong an association as is Frehley's. JP used a lot of different guitars, Gibsons, Danelectros, etc., but Ace used almost nothing else after a certain point.

Les Pauls make me think of Jimmy Page, Slash, Mark Knopfler
Telecasters make me think of Keith Richards and Bruce Springsteen. Butterscotch, of course. It's the only acceptable colour for a Tele. With a black pickguard And Strats obviously Hendrix with his right handed upside down one. And Rory Gallagher with his beaten to shit one. And possibly David Gilmour.
