pick ups for an 8 string
Hi guy, best pickups for 8 string for proper metal tone not djent (like the style hate the tone)
I'm stuck between: EMG 808X, dimarzio D activator 8 or bare knuckle miracle man 8. What do you think? |

Whats a "proper" metal tone? Surely its all subjective.
If it was me, I'd go with the Bareknuckles. I've used a 6 string Miracle Man and holy hell its awesome, maybe a little too heavy for classic metal but still, pretty epic. |

Lace has some 8-string pickups, such as the Deathbars, an expanded version of the Alumitone Deathbuckers.

The Lace ones sound like EMGs but more clear, like the Dactivators. Pretty sweet, imo.
Dimarzio also has a Tosin Abasi signature set (Ionizer) coming out soon...

When I say proper metal I mean, max gain high lows and treble with scooped mids etc |
