MIDI problem

in my sound recording class at school, on the macs, we are doing a MIDI project on pro tools...well, whenever i attempt to download the files it automatically starts playing in windows media player, and from there i cannot open it in pro tools se on my windows computer, any ideas of how i could get it into pro tools? at school we download it to the desktop then import it from there, which i fail to understand how to do at home...any help? thanks

Go into pro tools and import it. The option will be in one of the click menus. If you can't find it either google it or check the manual.

It's really that simple.

which i try to do, but as soon as i click download it puts it straight into the now playing section of my windows media player, with no options to save it or anything allowing me to import it

right click the download link and choose "Save Link As"
