A good, cheap portable recorder?

What's a good portable recorder for under $50? Something I can take on the go with me and has an input for an instrument or a mic. It's gotta be able to save onto an sd card or have some sort of USB so I can transfer it over to my computer. If there's one you could buy at Sears or Kmart, that would be great as well.

I've used both zoom and tascam products that work great, but digital recorders start at about $100 unless you go used. I'd say save a bit more and go for a zoom or tascam portable one, look for used stuff first though.
