Hey UG. I'm a pretty big guy. I like my basses 34" to 36" (or maybe a bit longer). On a guitar I also want a pretty long neck, so I can get my hands moving (and so I stop tripping over the small frets). I was thinking something like 27". If anyone has a suggestion, please reply.
Sincerely The long armed bassist/guitarist. |

Agile has 30" scale guitars.

There are plenty of options out there for 6 and 7 strings, they're called Baritone guitars. It all comes down to personal preference, but if I was you, I'd look into Schecter or Ibanez (I just like the neck). Agile makes some too, but if you're not in the US, shipping can get a little bit ridiculous.
There are a lot of options in the market but if you want more specific suggestions, you could try telling us what genres you play, and what you like in a guitar.

Neck lengths aren't so much for ergonomic purposes but were designed to keep tuning and intonation tight in lower tunings. For example, normal 6 strings are 25.5 while 7 are usually 26.5 and 8's 27. Because of that extra string, the neck has to be longer to support the tunings.
But yeah, you can get 28, 30, even 33 scale length guitars.

I play mostly rock and metal. Both modern and old school. My main problem with the short neck is, that the frets become so small that i can't fit my damn hands there... |

And I'm not looking for lower tunings, just longer frets.
