I'll put up some more pictures later today. I truly am thankful to have a dad like mine, and I'm thankful for being so lucky as well!

I have a PRS and I really enjoy playing it, it does not get babied, but I do take care of it

Have fun with it, not many people will ever get to touch a guitar like that in their life

And I will man, I never even thought I'd see a 68 sg, to say I own one is insane! But I have a few friends that I jam with a lot, I'll make sure that they get plenty of time with her

I'd say he is the lucky one to have a dad that gave it to him for his very first guitar when he was 16

Hell my son gets my PRS CE22 when he turns 16, it is not a 57 LP, but he will have a super badass guitar.
I only have 13 yrs left of calling it mine
Guess its time for that CU22/24 I have always wanted

My son will probably be playing a shit ass guitar until I'm sure he'll stick with it.

To think of all the history and the time period that that guitar came out... Freaking awesome. My dad lets me use his 65 Mosrite Celebrity III, and every time I pick it up I think of him playing it all those years ago.
HNGD! Enjoy the hell out of that guitar! And yeah, don't even think about throwing anything like EMG's in it, just get it back into playing condition and have fun!

Happy NGD , and that is one AWE-SOME-INSPIRING guitar. I've never really been into SG's, until I saw this one. It oozes class, as if it was dripping straight out of the polish.

Awesome guitar. Awesome story too. I've been looking for an older pre '71 SG, so this is right up my ally. I would stalk ebay and look for the Lyre Maestro vibrola cover that yours is missing. It will definitely clean the whole guitar up a bit. HNGD! Enjoy it and thank your dad.
