Liquid Rage

I'm confused, someone is selling me a Washburn X12 Guitar , the first pic is the pic I got from the net and the second one is the actual one he's selling me, but why is the neck color different. I'm not really familiar with Washburns.

That seems to be maple. It may be a maple necked version of that guitar. Just ask the guy who's selling but to you? Maple isn't better or worse than rosewood, it's just preference.

I couldn't find any form of that guitar with a maple board except this one

If the headstock is the same it probably just came from a different color one.

Washburn don't use a common heel and the inlays aren't a design that's easy to get in replacement necks, either. Either that guitar is from a small run that did get maple fretboards, or the neck of an X11 has been put on it; structurally, these are identical, the only difference is the fretboard material.

To add to the Fibbles one comment.

The X11 is the only X series guitar to get the maple fretboard, but it had a HSS pup configuration, as did the X10. The X12 is the only one that had the HH configuration, but it had a rosewood fretboard.
The X10/X11 both had Fender style trems as well, the X12 had the bridge in your pics.
