Occasional Amp whistling noise?!

Hey guys. Sometimes when i open my amp the amp produces a whistling noise. I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot because it only happens sometimes. Why is this happening and should I worry? I have a Epiphone Studio 15r and a Epiphone Les Paul Jr. The whistling noise only happens maybe 1/10 times. Thanks in advance !

Do you happen to use any effect pedals? The whistling sound happens to me as well when I'm using my metal distortion pedal with my mids scooped out.
