Writing with Guitar Pro
I wrote a few riffs and had some melody in my head - but this song was basically written on guitar pro, shared with the singer and producer. I gave the guitar pro midi export to my producer who then programmed the basic drum patterns off of the midi guitar/drums. Then we tracked guitars and bass. He then programmed the "real" drums. In the meantime the singer was working on lyrics and additional vocal melody. We then tracked vocals, and then did the video. Technology - its freakin great. So don't be afraid to program your stuff into guitar pro - it can really help share ideas. |

I would - IF THERE WASN'T A F*CKING MEMORY LEAK WHICH FORCES ME TO RESTART GUITAR PRO EVERY 15 MINUTES.
