haha i loved it man. it really touched me deep man about how you had smoke when you think about her, i went through somthing like that lol. I liked the vocals the most. it kind of had a country feel to it also, great job man!

hey guys,
for those of you who liked the original version of my music video in post #1 of this thread, I also made a Director's Cut version of the music video. It's the same song, but I added a few video scenes and then deleted a few scenes so the video wouldn't be tooooo long. For example, I deleted the car scene at the end of the video, but I added a different car scene in the middle of the video, and I added and deleted a few other scenes.

The Director's cut is a little darker in theme, to me, because of one short extra scene I added which changes the theme of the whole video a little more towards the darker side theme-wise, to me anyway. But some people have told me they like this Director's cut version of the video more than the original, so I don't know....

Thank you for the reviews! Yes, I try to sound 80's. Now reviewing your song/video. I don't condone illegal drug use, though the video was humorous by around 3:15. Vocals were sung well, and instrumentally everything was well done, sounded a bit country with the slide guitar. I see you have quite a few video plays on the youtube. Do you currently live on the Hawaiian Islands?

Yes, I live in Hawaii, on Oahu, some of the video was shot at Diamond Head looking towards Hawaii Kai.
Technically, I guess it's a reggae/country hybrid, I guess that's an unusual combination, but it seems to work well.

As far as illegal drug use....well, in Colorado and Washington, it isn't illegal anymore. Times are changing if you look at modern views on gay marriage, women at the front lines of combat, and legalization of marijuana, etc. This year, our state legislature in Hawaii is looking again at legalizing recreational use of marijuana like Colorado and Washington have already done. Not sure if it will happen here, but I'm just saying that times are changing, and peoples attitudes are changing, especially the younger generations. Heck, maybe within 10 years, marijuana might be completely legalized across the nation, and maybe my music video will be looked at as ahead of it's time, LOL!!

i actually like how chill it is, has a country reggae feel to it, the mix is pretty clean cant complain. just reading the comments alone had me cracking up xD altogether its a very amusing song and vid could deff see someone smoking a doobie to this lol. maybe one day ppl will see this vid and laugh at how ppl acted towards pot use, keep up the good work!

Don't be ashamed, I had posted this music video on a video game forum, and a couple of weeks later, I came across a post in another thread on that forum where this guy had in his signature "catchiest song ever", out of curiosity I clicked on it, and it was my Do a Doobie video, LOL!
I didn't ask him to do that, I didn't even know who he was.
I also got personal messages from people asking me if they could have the mp3 of the song, for free....the nerve!! LOL
